Adhesion Enhancing Latex is a specially formulated concrete and mortar additive designed to enhance adhesion between old and new concrete, strengthen bonding, and improve the durability of structures. It is used in repair areas, resurfaced surfaces, and newly poured concrete applications to create a strong and lasting bond with the existing concrete. Once applied, it forms a highly flexible, extra resistance to rust in iron reinforcement, water-resistant, and durable connection, increasing the overall strength and longevity of the structure.
In addition to its adhesion-enhancing properties, it also improves the water impermeability of concrete, providing extra resistance against moisture and water exposure. This helps prevent cracking, abrasion, and deterioration caused by water infiltration.
Application Method and Usage Amount
For Adhesion Enhancement: A thin layer is applied to the surface of the old concrete before the new mortar or concrete mixture is poured over it. The recommended usage amount is 150-200 g/m².
For Water Impermeability Enhancement: 10-20% of the cement content in the concrete mixture is replaced with Adhesion Enhancing Latex, ensuring a homogeneous mix with the appropriate water ratio before application.
